呢科幾適合夠分又差GE requirement 既人讀
如果求PASS真係可以好輕鬆

不過 我讀果個SEM呢科身邊既人唔少爛GRADE OR FAIL

做既野其實唔多,係煩。
首先講一講%分佈:
Toni既In-class works 10%
Toni既Self Exploration Analysis 10%
Janet既In-class works加attendance 15%
Janet既Q&A 5%
Janet既ePortfolio 20%
Janet既Group assignment 40%
注意地方:
1.上堂要take attendance
2.每堂最後都有野做,即堂交。可以唔聽書靠自己睇ppt去做。Toni既,記得check好Grammar,兩份我拎B+同A。
3.最後Toni交代要每人寫篇Self Exploration Analysis,個篇因為我有三個地方冇加“”,所以F左。唔好諗住左抄右抄前改後改,其實係吹個人能力有邊到好邊到差,用上堂d筆記去證明自己邊到好邊到唔好係冇用。
4.Janet既Q&A又唔係真係要瘋狂答,其實得5%,你可以當係答5條就ok,佢問d問題全部係哂ppt到揾到哂。你唔想答到得,係最後一堂present既時候問其他組問題(夾定)都得。
5. ePortfolio係煩左你要自己整個網頁去介紹自己,用Google整又得,用其他都得(佢會介紹其他可自己整網頁既網)。如果你有拍埋自我宣傳片會仲好,但我冇拍到,最後B左。個人覺得唔好會Google,因為十個有七八個都揀Google,用下其他加多effect會好d。呢份功課係哂時間,你做唔切唔緊要,因為你交既時候係交個網址,佢又唔係即刻check,所以你可以交完個網址後再慢慢改靚仔去。不過呢份我係通宵做出黎,做完之後我都冇懶得去改,最後D左
6. Group Assignment! 因為我早排F左,所以呢到特別拎多d野做。Freerider出現機會較少,因為你只要將最最最簡單既野俾佢就得,資料性既野全都係Copy冇得改,佢高唔高分純睇佢點Present同份Report。份功課要打埋分工表,所以佢死佢事唔關你事! Janet都會留意表面功夫,所以串錯字既,執位功夫唔可以少! Present記得睇時間,會cut人。最後Present完會有其他組問你,自己做好資料搜集就得。
7.呢個Course有個Talk要take attendance,我有fd take完attendance就閃左,我就聽哂。個Talk可有可冇,純粹睇你幾睇重份Group assignment,因為份Group assignment有分3 parts,第3 part係自由選擇做唔做,做就介紹兩個Web tools(上堂有介紹唔洗驚)+總結係Talk到學到既野。
8.少少提醒! Grp assignment係自己做Reports同ppt,reports提過既野全都要present出黎,所以timing好重要! 我個組因為有綵排過,最後俾Janet cut左,有人present唔到。。。。

最後祝Reg呢科既朋友仔好運,因為俾我揀多次我唔會Reg呢科。

Workload:
1.每堂交一份reflective paper
2.一個group present
3.一個group paper
4.一個test
5.attend一個pride parade

好似好多野做 其實全部都好hea
我有2堂堂課無交
group present 六個人十分鐘 paper又係六個人做9000字左右 有好多堂都係邀請guest 有transgender homosexual sex-worker等等 全部都好有趣
Test既format係t or f同fill in the blanks 其實淨係print曬所有notes出黎就ok 因為係openbook 我附近所有人都係test個時先搵答案 但都有百幾頁紙 所以都唔係想像中咁易 不過整體黎講 係一個好玩既course

peer evaluation就是一切, 無視當中努力的成果
一組人(~10人左右) 去完成一份powerpoint+ present
大家workload相若,workload平均分配,各司其職, 為何最後個grade可以差別咁大?

一堂lecture 3小時, 可以2小時左右就走得
仲有堂所謂tutor 係廢, 無一堂需要返 搞到個schedule大失預算
lecturer早放 學生可以早走 大家固然開心
諗住上呢堂GE可以輕鬆學習 點知最後比分個機制係咁不公

我係見個lecturer上黎留言我先黎表達我意見
一組有不同能力既人 個project要我地發揮創意 製造產品去解決日常生日遇到既問題
隨機分配組員,有人表達力強,有人創造力強,有人資料搜集強,有人邏輯力強...
一組要互相合作,互相配合先可以完成一個pj , 到最後原來個peer evaluation決定個分
咁唔通要乜都攬哂上身, 乜都負責既學生先叫做A grade學生? 不如唔洗分組啦
每人做個individual work 得啦..DLLMCH
平時上堂打哂飛機 又話自己個科幾咁成功 幾咁有創意, 呸!
呢個評分機制先係最扼殺學生既創意呀!

Fairly speaking, the grading of this ge course is better than my expectation ( because of the previous comments).

To get a fair good grade of this course, I recommend you to do the following:

1. Actively participate in the group activities. Though there is no attendance taking in the lecture, performing good in the group activities can make your group stands out among others

2. Group project is the most important part. Your product idea (originality and implementation) is the essence of the project. Do a thorough product research to ensure your product is an innovative one.

3. Final exam is not difficult, just make sure you follow the lectures and fully understand the main model explained by Dr Lai.

Overall, the workload of this course is light and it is more important to get the whole group involved in the project. When designing the product, the product feasibility is as important as the innovation part.

聽人講以為好易讀啦,點知又多野做,個Quiz要溫埋lecture note以外既野,無聽就gg。仲有個pj 都唔易做,搞到C左,真係後悔都黎唔切。

email consult佢D分係點計 mean min max果d佢就話唔答得我知
之後我話要appeal佢就直接唔覆我email-.-
搵佢dept就同我講交左比panel處理之後拖下拖下無左件事
懷疑係計少分但個panel程序太煩佢地唔想理之後ignore左我=____=

哩個lai ding kee係正宗KILLER
已經比之前教依科既 professor多好多野做
要狂寫JOURNALS不在話下,差唔多每堂都要寫
仲要D QUIZZES好鬼難,又多SHORT QS
上堂DISCUSSION CHUR死人
最過份係比分緊到嘔
竟然夠膽全班PAPER嘅MEAN比B-
佢讚我地既performance好突出
點知個分同其他差嘅組一樣
真係O咀
總之揀呀豬呀狗都唔好揀lai king dee, 轉左lecturer都可以考慮

2 Quizes
1 Group report & presentation

This course is a torture for students who are not studying or interested in it. As you need to do loads of extra work to catch up all the lecture slides.
As long as there was a group report, it would be a total disaster if none of your group-mates were from the GE department, as you might not fully understand professor's expectation.

During the group presentation there would be a guest judge(?), don't even why this is necessary, but that man criticize and question each group quite harsh during the Q&A session.

At last, I can hardly understand FOK Yuen Hung accent as she constantly mixed mandarin with English.

大伏!千祈唔好道聽途說話好grade就走去讀!除非你自覺好有ART sense!workload多到喊!堂堂都上齊,功課做齊,跟指示做,都得哩個grade!只能說作為一個GE course lecturer 要求太高!

無d人講到咁好讀...首先個quiz都有d難,又無得走堂,然後present都有d煩,topic唔容易定得好,要花好多時間心機但個grade都唔好..

2017/18 Sem A

A-

每個week要寫journal果堂學左咩
group project: 3樣野 report (ok既 因為6-7人一組) + present ppt + poster (d poster 都真係唔hea)
要搵一間機構做visit之後寫log sheet (最煩係搵機構, 但會有個week no class補返)
之後有個quiz 佔好多分 認真少少溫下就ok

岩所有major既人 都係講下d transgender, gay, sex worker, 雙性人

呢個course 係喺2017年暑sem 讀既
內容係非常之特別,而且上堂時會有機會接觸到社會上被邊緣化嘅人,性小眾等等。

Grade 就分3部份:
1. in-class journal (20%)
要攞足呢20%, 只要100% 出席率就得
因為每一堂都要寫一篇一版紙嘅文章,針對嗰日講嘅issue 發表下你自己點睇同埋自己嘅感想。
Hea 寫一版就得,你中意的話double spacing 都冇問題
呢20%根本就係送俾你。
其中一個禮拜係唔使上堂,不過你要去參觀一個同sexuality 有關嘅機構,可以係 午夜藍(協助男性性工作者嘅機構)、紫藤(協助女性性工作者嘅機構)等等
呢一個活動係compulsory 架,仲要影相證明你有去到

2. Group Project (40%)
呢到包括一次group presentation 同埋一份2000-2500 字既group report
Presentation 主要係圍繞一啲cultural groups, 講下社會大眾對佢地既誤解,或者係佢哋受到歧視嘅issues, 然後就要promote anti-discrimination message

個人建議題目要早啲諗定,因為即使lecture 會俾一啲recommend topics 你都好,你一定要consult lecturer 去確定你嘅題目係可行,做到既。
同埋如果想攞高grade 既話,你唔會想揀果啲recommend topics架啦... 嗰個人都揀嗰啲,咁你嘅題目邊怱嚟得特別呢?
除此之外,你唔單止要整一個PowerPoint slide 去present, 你仲要設計一個poster
所以一定要預多啲時間去做

Group report 比較簡單,去寫返一啲同你個present差唔多嘅嘢, 只係多咗一part literature review 咁
要求要有最少10 個reference (books/journal)

3. In class Quiz (40%)
Open book, 唔洗驚
考法唔一定,可以係MC, Fill the blanks, True or False
暑Sem 就只係考true/false
覆蓋嘅範圍唔單只係lecture ppt, 甚至連埋你地present 既ppt slide 都考埋。
不過都係open book, 輕鬆既。

呢一個課程會比到好多機會你去接觸性小眾例如係同性戀、性工作者、雙性人,而且話題非常之開放,講咗好多關於性愛嘅嘢啦,亦都係講到宗教嘅睇法係咪一定同同性戀有衝突咁
所以我覺得呢個課程其實非常之有意義,好有啟發性
但如果你係一啲有道德潔癖嘅人,見到同性戀或者係其他性小眾就會覺得佢哋好污糟、有病啊咁樣嘅話,咁我就唔建議你讀
一定要保持一個開放嘅態度,你先至可以了解,同埋明白到佢哋嘅睇法同感受。

Workload極少,只有group project 同paper
每堂reflection 有聽guest 講野自然寫到
Present 自問唔太好,paper 都有比心機做
Quiz我冇溫過,去到門口個刻我先知係open book,本來都淆底,可能本身有睇開呢方面既書,所以出黎個grade ok

Course 內容有趣,而且eye opening, 不過唔係教好多野,如果本來有留意開 lgbt issue/feminism 既話會有少少失望

喺個course outline 可以見到,佢係講緊respect and equality, 如果你認為異性戀以外既人都係唔正常,呢個係你認識新世界既機會。不過如果你有道德潔癖,單純想好grade,不如留返個位比其他人讀
