2016/17 Sem A

這科內容很有趣,上堂氣氛輕鬆,Toni好nice, friendly,很有耐心解答問題,大力推薦。英文要好好,否則present會低分。肯讀書拿A不難,可惜我太遲溫書,所以只可以B +。

這科勁多交流生,LOCAL學生PRESENT有D蝕底,建議找英文比較好的GROUPMATE。WORKLOAD不算重,但不能走堂,因為每堂有CLASSWORK,計ATTENDANCE用。課程不是很深奧,但要背好多TERMINOLOGIES,TONI是不錯的老師,課堂有趣,但考試需要溫TEXTBOOK,考試不難但很長,CONCEPT 不熟會做不完。

As an engineer student, this GE is a real challenge especially of the difficult and new psychology terms. The workload is heavy due to the time required to revise for the exam. The exam is not tricky but long. The assignment workload is ok, only one group assignment. Picking up responsible groupmates is very important for this class. There are classworks every week, more like a give-away and not difficult. As long as you write more, you will get more points. (Note: keep all the classwork sheets, especially those with notes taken when watching class videos). There are 2 questions in the exam taken out from the classworks. Good english is needed to score higher points in presentation. Lecturer is very friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. You will need the textbook for exam revision.

老師為人負責任,上課亦有趣,除了不能在課堂吃東西外,基本上沒有太多規限。課程蠻有趣,只是英文有點難。有好多外藉交流生,英文不流利的話建議幫忙其他工作,選英文較流利的伙伴負責PRESESNT。考試內容包括CLASSWORK,EXAM 一定要溫習課本。

This is a very interesting course of social psychology. Toni is a friendly and responsible lecturer. The workload is not heavy compared with other electives. There is no individual assignment but every class has short class exercises that counted as part of the grade. Missing a class can lost attendance, participation and classwork marks. Content is interesting but the social psychological terms can be difficult for year 1 student. The group project is not difficult but very time consuming. The exam is quite challenging and need to read the textbook for revision. The student powerpoint does not provide enough information for exam.

1. 上堂; 老師認得所有人,唔可以叫人幫手點名,同埋放break走咗會當你無上過個堂。 通常都會早放,4-7 pm嘅堂6點鬆啲就放;建議同學每堂完咗留低傾project。堂堂都有工作紙要填,會計分。老師好nice,不過唔鍾意人上堂食嘢。

2. 課堂材料: 佢係咁叫人買書(exam唔係open book 但有書溫會好啲,project要用,後面會講),可能有人諗住溫ppt算,不過佢將ppt分做teacher同student version,student version 太精簡,有等於無。所以有能力嘅人建議買書。

3. Project 50% : project要用書,要係咁refer本書,report個量都幾多下,要早啲開始做;同埋好睇gp mate。

4. Exam 30% : MCx70 (1pt per question) LQ 2揀1 (20pts) SQ 2揀1 (10pts);MC有溫書就識,幾易,考theory,同書入面啲quiz yourself嘅題目好似。LQ,SQ溫咗都唔係好識,寫得好少,考天才。

因為少人讀,所以今年每人要兩次個人present 5分鐘+一頁文字報告
只要夠貼題夠生活化就唔會好差,導師比分都鬆手,我有次就咁播片冇乜講野都7分

書可以網上搵,同真實出版版本相差唔大,雖然本書好厚但幾有趣

小組研習就係應用學左既野係真實在職人士身上,文字報告5頁太少啦,根本唔夠位寫。分工都好重要

考試分T/F,MC同SQ
一定要睇書,因為平時上堂既NOTES只係書既精華,考試MC題會出好多唔同研究結果,如果只係溫基本理論係唔夠答MC
另外SQ係理論同埋堂上討論既野,專心上堂同溫書就冇問題,英文都唔洗話好叻,夠清晰有條理就得

1 individual presentation on selected topic ( i have 6/10) although i present not good. And near me there are people with 9 or even 9.5/10
1 group project consists of 9 ppl. It is not difficult but it is hard to find the interviewee and to find out their personality when face difficulty, etc. My group is around 51/60
finally , there is an exam which consist of MC , T/f and short question . If you work hard and attend all lectures, it is normal to have b+ like me. However, if you want to be better(A-/A) , you need to have good English skills to present answer clearly and comprehensively, as the short questions are not easy to handle.

1) 課程內容
呢一科雖然係management department開,但其實d內容係心理學泥既,不過同young psy唔同(雖然有好少部分既concept重疊咗),佢focus係工作同自己日常生活人與人之間既心理學,都幾容易理解,因為心理學都係同我地平時日常生活息息相關,好易應用得番出泥。

2) 上堂情況
每堂一開始Dr. Mok就會親自逐個點名,風雨不改,所以佢應該會認得每一個學生,而遲咗入泥既學生就會係break既時候同佢點番名。
有d人會係放break既時候偷走,雖然自己都好心思思想走,但我最終一次都冇,因為我驚佢可能會記得。而我平時上堂係絕對冇試過主動發問同答問題,根本就係small potato一個,但佢有次竟然up得出我叫咩名,所以都幾肯定佢係認得d學生,中途放break走似乎有d玩命啦!
Dr. Mok係講書方面就非常之悶,全程坐係度拎住支咪齋講,以ppt lecture notes為主,有時會播下youtube d片,講野冇咩高低音,好易令人左耳入右耳即刻出。而我亦多次試圖集中精神去聽,不過幫助不大,只係會聽到d keywords時mark底方便溫書。

3) Coursework
20% Class contribution: 當中有5%係attendance (我返齊哂);5%係平時上堂答下佢d問題 (我自己就一次都冇答過,不過唔知係以group泥計定係individual);10% short reading response assignment,係individual既,每個人都會assign textbook中其中一個chapter,睇完就做番張一頁紙感想同個presentation (max.係5分鐘,差唔多9成人都係用ppt泥present,我自己都係,有d人就兩袖清風出去齋up),Dr. Mok俾分都ok鬆,我present得麻麻都有8分。
50% Group project:Industry自定,8人一組,冇人free ride,有位組員分工分得好好。我個組係做老師既,訪問咗兩位老師,ppt presentation同report都應用咗好多concept。Ppt presentation方面(25分內有23),我個組係唯一一組present時有role play,有位組員整得個ppt又精美,當時見到Dr. Mok個樣都表示十分欣賞。Report方面(都係25分內有23),5頁紙,仲要係隔行個隻,都幾容易做,正如我一開始所講,心理學呢d野都係同日常生活息息相關,只要根據受訪者既訪問內容,再翻notes搵concepts泥apply就得。
30% Exam:Exam我好俾心機溫,因為唔想exam差而嘥咗之前group project d分數。我就將成份lecture notes原汁原味背哂去,當然唔係死記硬背啦,背完後係有經過消化理解既,邊溫lecture notes邊睇textbook泥幫自己更容易明白d concepts。Exam有true or false, MC 同LQ,程度係ok,一定唔會係難個囉。其實只要溫哂lecture notes同係咁依望下本書加埋少少平時既common sense就一定實識。LQ方面根本就係平時上堂教個d野泥,背番出泥或者用自己文字答就得,咁當然要根據番條題目泥further elaborate下啦,吹下自己既見解同apply下d concepts就已經可以。Exam分數就唔知啦,因為冇講。

不過比個exam玩死,你玩哂佢d popwerpoint都未必識,勁多心理題好睇你有無果個sense,講真上堂識唔到幾多野佢照讀powerpoint咁教,

Not Good! Every mark (Individual presentation, group project and presentation) was high, but still got C+, I don't think the professor engages students during the lecture, all she does is read out the slides! She said attendance marks are counted, which i doubt! Bad choice! Don't fall for this!
