2016/17 Sem A B+ It's a joint course by 3 departments, interesting topics. Michael Lam is interesting and he showed us some gory images - but his accent is kinda bad and one lesson he referred to the skin on fingertips as foreskin. lmao First there was an exercise involving dusting fingerprints and then sticking them on paper, but you're only given like 1.5 hours for the whole thing so its really hard to get a super high grade. There was a mock Crime Scene Investigation, and we had to look for evidence and take photos of the crime scene, and then write a report on the scene with a sketch. The report is individual but you may share information, photos and the sketch. GROUPMATES ARE EVERYTHING, or you might end up having to do all the workThe Forensic Engineering part isn't exactly difficult -- just go to the tutorials and then write one page as the assignment -- but the instructions are a bit vague and it's not easy to get a super high grade. (I am not an Engineering student)The CS tutorials are super easy, just follow the instructions and do as they say. I finished them in like 20 min each and got 9/10 and 10/10 i think. (I am not a CS student)They don't take attendance during lectures, but tutorials are only on for some of the weeks, and they tell you the tutorial times during lectures so it's best to have at least 1 contact who goes to class regularly.TL;DR definitely take this course, it's like no work at all. There's only like 2 reports and they're both really short. It's like the best option in Area 3 if you're like me and you can't do math or science for shit. Definitely not a guaranteed A though.
