One group project and individual term paper. The teacher is quite nice and you can learn a lot about management from him. For the group, three of them are freeriders and I think our report is a little bit...simple. So it is reasonable to get this mark. If you are interested in management, don't hesitate and choose this GE. If you only want a great grade, you can have a better option.
結論 : 大伏,workload大 (deadline @ sem end),內容空泛、課堂內容冇咩用、學唔到野而且俾grade差,完全不建議揀。

B+内容:挺无聊,也算是能学到东西,还有一个company visit 是去九龙塘旁边的香港生产力促进局,看看也挺好的
老师:人不错,功课不算多
这门课很少人reg所以教室里面人特别少

ACHRIS 超級好人 有問必答 好多課外既野都會答哂我地
上堂教學認真 有時會播片 有時會小組討論咁樣上堂
學到management野 上堂一定要上足 同埋認真
workload就一般啦 同其他GE差唔多
仲有一點就係一定要有好的GROUPMATE 我地果組基本上個個都好高分
可能係因為我地果組都好認真
如果唔上哂堂又唔想比心機既 呢科應該唔係好岩你

A雖然名稱叫Industrial Engineering 但主要係Management向
基本上都係圍繞工廠或企業點樣管理大規模既生產/僱員/銷售模式
我認為係Area 3課程入面最適合無理科底既人讀
整體黎講成個課程都冇野要背硬記
課程輕鬆 所以遇著自己鍾意既topic真係可以訓身去搵資料再用黎做功課
Lecturer very nice 有問必答
另外課程workload都非常輕鬆

Lecturer話Logbook佔分唔多 字數亦都冇要求
只係話希望我地可以就住上堂學到既有趣野再做further research
或者可以講下Group Project/Individual Paper既進度

Random分組
有幾條指定題目 問題Straight forward得黎指示都幾清晰
Present既形式都相當自由
我地組6個人用左Prezi簡簡單單跟住指示同問題做
Report 平均一個人一千字
3. Individual Paper
1000 - 2000 words
題目可以自定亦都可以用佢比個D
佢比既題目多數都係上堂教過既topic + 少少further research
最後個一堂係用黎Present自己既paper
基本上都係Copy番paper既野

C+呢一個係黎visit讀phd既大陸佬
一開sem就要係無得自己揀人既情況下分組
之後10月就有個grp present (3揀1 topic, 全部同佢上堂既野無關)
中期 佢又會上堂抽下人present份term paper 又耐5耐點下名 (但明明course work無話過會點)
最尾要交一份grp report (寫左6千字) 同一份13個week既study schedule (寫左8千字)
自問好俾心機用左幾日時間去做, 仲好有心機汁靚本book d格式先交

B-先講D 客觀野,

Weekly Logbook (x13篇)

另設有2個fieldtrip (非課堂時間,自願性質,This Sem一個係返大陸睇工廠,一個係留係香港去HSBC,情形係點因為我冇去唔清楚 (去完要sharing, extra workload, so....)
Attendance : Randomly take 2次
課堂情形 :
上三個鐘頭,基本上就係開PPT講,中間俾個break,講完ending俾時間傾Goup project or term paper,傾完可以早走。

個人觀感part (如太長可直接skip去last part conclusion)
伏~ 首先上堂氣氛好悶,基本上就係得佢係到細細聲咁用個好flat下的tone係到講PPT,就算想認真聽都會覺得聽到悶,好多人去到都係坐係到做自己野懶得聽 (特別要上3個鐘,而我果期又係星期六早上,我已經算係幾頂到悶的人,但佢堂真係....)
內容方面,老實講我上完都係唔係好知Industrial engineering (IE) and management到底係咩呢 (雖然我有走堂,但D notes我有睇哂),個course又講歷史野又講下工業革命,之後先係咁咦講下Industrial engineering and management, PPT確係有好多資料 (唔使背),但感覺真係貼切地講到IE中心既野唔多,反而background、relevent knowledge仲多,似係側邊係咁轉但入極都入唔到主題咁 (個人感覺),而且因為有牽涉到management,有時覺得似係到上management course多D (但呢個course卻放係area 3),只可以話唔好expect學到IE野,focus係學歷史同managment可能會好過D。
功課.... 只能說大伏,13篇logbook、group project、term paper自問真係俾哂心機做,logbook一份起碼過一版,睇返哂佢D PPT做好哂筆記仲自己加返補充資料,13份加埋寫左成6000幾字,group project自己果part都寫左上千字,present果時自問雖然唔係叫好outstanding但都算係fluent冇甩漏中規中矩,group mate又都好比心機咁做,Term paper因為佢D 課堂內容基本上對topic冇用仲要自己額外揾資料自己理解自己砌 (跳題一句,D資料比佢上堂的內容有趣好多,我大概係因為做term paper先知自己係到緊D咩,之前份group project正如我上面所講全managment向,雖然比心機做但做完都唔知同個course有咩關係) ,雖然deadline前我先黎做,但都一樣俾足心機,揾左好多資料整理過先寫 (我連個題目講的理論既原提出者本書都有睇左少少先做)1000下限寫夠2000俾佢 (但遲左交),捱左幾晚夜,書都冇温,結果個成績,都係得B- (FD準時交都係得B),effort完全同收獲不成正比。
(Btw, 本身份term paper同present冇咁早交,佢係11月大概就完course突然問都唔問我地就將兩個deadline移前,present足足早左2個星期做,term paper個新deadline仲要係正study week,我因為做佢連書都温唔到lo.... = =
