Cindy was a bit annoying. She liked to check every part of our drafts and presentation. Also, she likes to talk a lot about basic writing skills and her personal experience. However, she was eager to give comments about your writing and help you to get a good grade. I got a B+ simply because I was late for handing my last assignment

She always smiles and well-prepared for the lesson. Passionate in teaching and very nice. At first, I enjoyed her lessons. She always accomplishes our writings as well.

However, we were very shocked after the grade has released. We paid lots of effort and surely the grade should not be like this. Classmates from other classes, generally, higher grade than us.

In Chinese, we can say it '糖衣毒藥'.

Assignment淨係知infographic個分 係above mean (仲要問先知幾分 完全冇諗過同我地講)
後面嘅argumentative essay 同 reflective essay 係冇俾分我地知

比分極嚴格,個mean可以同其他班差3-4分(20分滿分),連first language係英文既外地生功課都係岩岩及格,結果我自己過班mean就出c+。上堂極之無聊,對ppt照讀,但係佢好like nds,建議唔係nds或想hea既就唔好reg佢,個人認為係大伏killer一個。

She gets annoyed when students asked her how she graded their assignment.
I don't think she likes teaching AT ALL.
Don't register her if you want to get a good grade.

我頭4堂無上
(因為一開頭見同FD一樣時段,以為同班, 所以就一齊上
去錯左去同一個時段第二個SESSION嘅UE, 柒到爆)
不過之後到我知道自己一直去錯SESSION我先EMAIL番佢, 同佢解釋
之後就去番呢班
一黎到呢班UE D人都好熟, 好有中學FEEL LOL 可能教授係比較中意輕鬆同互動嘅人
所以呢班UE開埋WHATSAPP GROUP
不過上佢堂好多時候都係玩LOL 但其實我自己唔太中意玩
--功課方面--
essay我真心deadline前寫, 無咩比心機
佢好似俾我地consult左一次, 不過佢consult左=無consult
無咩俾意見(佢係我地見佢之前無睇過我篇ESSAY)
我題目係寫中學應唔應該強制學生參與同宗教信仰有關嘅活動
內容一般 GRAMMAR無咩點執過LOL
好好奇點解有B+, 聽人講佢係KILLER

我覺得功課上佢未必幫到你拎好GRADE
不過如果想上堂好玩佢都幾好
同埋有時佢講野都幾啟發性
最尾果堂佢直頭唔教野, 開P , 不過當日中學SPEECH DAY無去到

Nice teacher, not much in class assignments, mainly group discussion. I don't have a perfect attendance, I skipped 2 lessons, I guess that's why my grade is low.
But he is not a generous marker, everyone got a low score for the infographics and essays.

In general, he is a nice teacher but a harsh marker.

個人認為工作量算少,要做的事我基本是前一兩日或當日才做,分數一般,因為英文不算好(dse4,writing 4)。至於tutor,他很nice,但好像什麼都沒有教過,對於功課,他也沒什麼guidelines和意見,所以想topic的時候有點迷惘。還有,想topic時,真的要想好(先認真找好sources才定下topic),不要半途轉。
無論如何,還是建議reg他。我看到grade的時候還是有點驚喜。
還有關於participation,因為我口語不好,從來都不會主動回答問題,只是他點名問我,我才說兩句。上課有時會有in-class writing,有些我還沒寫好就交上去(因為趕著去吃飯,哈哈),或者hea寫,不過看來這些對我的grade影響不大。
細分:
1,infographic (忘了,只是記得是在b-的range裡)
2,First Revision Soft Copy(15/20)
3,Final Draft(18.75/25)
4,Reflective Report(16.5/20)
感覺自己的essay寫得不好,不過當時我花了時間作出大修改,顯得有點誠意,估計因為這點,我在Revision的分數不錯,而他也提到這點。

【Infographic】:2~3個人一組整海報,主題自訂,最好有爭議性,而且題目可以幫助大家想定Argumentative Essay既題目。整完既Soft Copy上載Canvas,Hard Copy在堂上向其他組介紹,Peer Evaluation唔計分,Hard Copy黑白定彩印都無問題,因為Tutor系按照Soft Copy黎俾分,建議使用網上版既Piktochart黎整,免費Email註冊,多範本色彩圖案選擇

【Argumentative Essay Draft】:約600字,Reference List可以唔寫住,除非Tutor教左要點寫,屋企做,題目自定,Soft Copy上載Canvas既Turn-In系統交,印2分Hard Copy,一份堂上交俾Tutor,另一份俾自己友攞黎做Peer Evaluation

【Final Argumentative Essay】:約1000字,必須使用正確的APA6引用格式,MLA不接受,屋企做,續寫Draft,細微修改,當然也可以改題目重新寫過篇,不過我覺得Tutor可能會因此俾低分(要佢重頭睇一次),直接Soft Copy上載Canvas既Turn-In系統(部分Tutor要你交埋Hard Copy,但Noble唔使)

【n-class Participation】:嗯,你懂的,在適當場合做適當的事情。

後記:100%出席率,DSE英文整體得4(4434),UE攞到B+算多謝Noble了,可能有人覺得佢俾分好緊,我就唔系好覺。另外Noble覆電郵超快手,我打Essay打到夜晚12點幾,覺得有疑問就寄左電郵俾Noble,第2日開翻電郵,佢1點幾已經覆左我,好勤力既Tutor(垃圾Cityu Email除左問野同激活Office之外就是然並卵),可惜GE2410遇唔到佢,真心多謝佢教左半年英文,學識點用APA6

Cindy 好好人,有問題問email 佢,佢都會好詳細答。但上堂預左會悶,同埋佢係individual consultation 比嘅 comments 唔好跟到十足十,佢D suggestions 用字好多都係好簡單,未必一定係最好嘅option,聽完自己再諗下跟唔跟。

Louisa本身應該係一個學霸,所以佢比分都好緊手,要求你好專心上堂,唔玩得電話唔遲得到,但唔使擔心佢係好helpful,會成日行過來幫你。不過不算靚grade,而且大工作量,你要每份文都有first draft,final draft,peer review,仲要有group project 同self-asessment commentary.本人自問有比心機做,上堂專心,功課準時,只係得B。

上堂又係咁問人問題~
全年做左1份INFOGRAPHIC 同 1份ESSAY
比分都幾緊........如果想輕鬆好GRADE 可以 睇下其他TUTOR
但係如果想認真學英文佢都唔錯~

一开頭睇留言話Anthea俾分都算幾嚴,都驚爛grade。不過,根據個人經驗,可能因為今季轉左syllabus,所以俾分鬆左D,基本上你依照佢要求做,唔好遲交,早少少做完俾Anthea佢睇下就實無死。

作為一個英文應該唔錯同埋讀law嘅同學報到Louisa嘅堂真係三生有幸
佢嘅要求會因應你嘅能力而提高 所以你嘅grade低過讀中文嘅同學真係好正常
佢上堂認真,準備充足,睇得出佢好有熱誠
遺憾嘅係佢比grade真係有D手緊,同埋要求好空泛,永遠唔知點解高分點解低分。

自問做得認真過其他讀law嘅同學 有做research有搵書有問佢點解First draft低分
儘量跟住佢要求改自己篇文 最後反而仲低分左
真係睇唔透佢想要D咩
隔離班做左兩三日有A 我做左成個禮拜得個C+

強烈建議唔好讀佢嘅tutorial
如果屋企好多野可以攞黎發洩同埋想測試EQ嘅極限可以嘗試
或者人生未經歷過挫折都可以試下
唔好挑戰自己嘅能力 小弟就係以為可以扭轉乾坤係佢手上攞到靚grade
倒頭來要讀多次 真係辛苦自己

This course stresses you out if you want to get a good grade. I spent hours working on the argumentative essay trying to make it perfect. The tutor is friendly and kind. She points out the mistakes so that you can submit a better piece of work. She also helps students and tries to make everyone participate in the class. Remember to always choose an 'academic topic' for the infographic because if you try thinking out of the box due to enthusiasm you might lose grades like me.
