I put a lot of effort and i expected A range but got B+ only. A bit disappointed with the grade. The tutor is a Ph.D student and she is very friendly, but she often missed our email. She is from TW but allowed us to present with cantonese. I like the tutorial topic(which is about 宋代), however, she didn't teach too much in the tutorials and we just listened to students' presentation since the second lesson. Hence, less knowledge could be gained from the tutorials.

I am not very good at Chinese,
yet Mr. Tsang wholehearted teaching inspired me to think a lot about the project
He gave us topics, and we could choose to do the given one or other topics we could think of
You can consult him for more than one time:)
He always shared funny jokes and stories to make the lesson interesting

这么课1字打头不是没有原因的,真的非常轻松。拿出两天时间就可以按要求完成全部功课。Tutor李铀所有的选题都是古代绘画艺术,每个组选一个朝代,每个组员再各自选一两位画家进行探究。说是探究,但实际上总结的成分较多。对学术界已经达成共识的观点没有必要强行critical thinking。李铀在绘画方面学识广博,强行标新立异的观点会遭到全场有理有据的反驳。
一天完成presentation绰绰有余,上午查找资料,下午梳理资料制作幻灯片,晚上讲幻灯片的内容梳理一下背背讲稿就可以了。
report是presentation的延续,主题与presentation一致。以报告形式呈现presentation的内容就可以,只需2000字,一个上午完成。再和group mate商议一番500字序言,也可以很快完成。online discussion只需500字,选好课题多找些reference也很简单。
SemA李铀一人教授8节tutorial,忙到哭,所以不喜欢反复consultation。在每节tutorial结束后简短地请教就可以,他是很乐意提出建议的。
李铀对细节的要求不高,没有明显错误就可以。尤其要注意图片的来源,他看一眼就知道配图是否正确。
李铀给分十分整齐。。。。嗯,整齐。全组七人,一个A,6个A-。整整齐齐。

分組和理科人一組,但佢哋反而對文學仲深認識 LOL
題目研究宋代文學思想,本身真係無文學底,但都能應付,大路分析下就得
成績滿意 :)

Lecture做in-class點名 遲過15分鐘就唔派
Tutorial每堂一組present take attendence就ok
Tutor 全程有一半時間以上係瞓緊覺 present果陣都係照住讀 好hea
雖然係group work 但其實好大部分都係計個人嘅分
就算遇到freerider都唔會死得好慘
無文學底 都係喺個database搵左幾篇summarize下就打出黎就ok

我開頭reg左pth班都好驚伏,所以一早已經決心努力做好assignment.. 老師今個sem比既題目係有關宋代既文學或文化 正常同學仔都會少接觸 我都唔例外 所以係做assignment前都要花唔少功夫去睇好多既文獻了解同做資料搜集 而老師都好好人 識聽廣東話 有任何問題佢都會樂於解答 email都會耐心覆 佢本身對題目都有好深入既見解同認識 :) 點都好啦 cciv真係一分耕耘 一分收穫 就算本身個底幾差 只要比心機努力做 點都唔會太差 (雖然我覺得睇文獻好辛苦TT 大家加油)

王景松老師為人非常偏頗,特別偏袒女同學,我們全組同學用心合力做好報告,亦依足其中期報告時所給予的意思作修改,最後除了組中一名女同學取得B+外,其餘同學均只得C。

I spared no effort in all assessments, e.g. paper and presentation. Class participation was said to be 25% but it felt like over 50%.
All my group mates got C/C- because, I guess, we did not speak up in lectures and tutorials.
It sucks.

He is quite a lazy tutor. When students did presentation, he was 'enjoying sleeping' rather than listening to our presentation. After presentation, no any useful comments would he give us.

It seems that he did not really know the details of what assessments we need to complete for this courses. Also, when you tried to consult him about your essay, he would say everything is good and okay. No concrete guidelines would be given. What is quite good is that he would give you the subtopics. So that you don't need to discuss with your groupmates about how to divide a big theme into different subtopics for your presentation and essay.

He would give you reference book list. But only rely on these references are not enough to write essay. I have spent a lot of times on doing researches.

One good thing you can enjoy in his class is his funny chat with students. My classmates laughed a lot in his class. It seems that he knew a lot about Chinese History. However, many things he said in class are irrelevant to this course.

As he is often sleepy, you can use computer and smartphone freely in class, he did not care about how students behaved in class. Some people left classroom early and he did not notice at all! It is relaxing when having tutorials.

Anyway, I want to say good luck sincerely to those who are going to take his class. Because it is sad that quite a number of people from his class got bad grade!

tutor 指示不清晰,問問題回應無太大作用,感覺缺乏教學經驗,
查看資料後知道tutor是研究生。
我明白研究生要吸收教學經驗,
但希望學系培訓一下新tutor或找有經驗的老師監督新tutor,
不要拿學生作為訓練新tutor的白老鼠!!! 這會嚴重影響學生學習

上學年修讀過學系甚他科目,tutor都是由lecturer擔任,
建議同學儘量選lecturer擔任tutor的時段,
他們比較有經驗,知道如何指導同學學習。

基本上系大課(Lecture)+導修(Tutorial),
大課:
內容豐富,認真聽可以學到好多文化層面既野,一定要出齊,有d後joint都得(15分鐘左右派紙),但唔好遲得太過分,系自己損失。(可以靠堂課執分)
堂課:ppt show choices(數次),填紙仔,短答(數次),一次300字短文(reflection)
有d導師既大課系悶d(PTH的),但都有好比心機教、好風趣既導師,基本上堂堂抄齊notes(堂課一定有用),想訓都幾難(除左經濟果課訓左,可能因為我無經濟底啦)
導修:
每個導師提供選擇既研習題目都唔同,董老師提供既系醫學類為主(eg 女醫、衛生、解剖學),有d就以音樂為主,所以建議打聽清楚先報讀
tutor比既指示好含糊,(可能我蠢啦),ban左幾次,最後hea左篇文就算,仲要超字數,無point,但個grade都ok,唔算太低。

大課的形式就沒有什麼特別的,都是每週不同的講師/教授介紹各種中國文化和歷史,只要準時出席(不要遲過半小時),認真聽課並完成堂課,就會有堂課分。這學期我走了一課也沒太大影響。而導修就會以四至五人一組,抽導師安排的題目,再依序進行小組口頭報告、個人網上討論和小組的學期論文集。雖說分成了小組,但各課業評分準則仍很依重個人,即使像我不幸遇到Freerider也不致拖累。

Tutor解說課業要求的時候,未必給出相當明確的指引,無論在擬定題目還是寫作論文期間,建議準備好問題在下課後發問,以準確了解Tutor的要求。董老師亦非常樂意同學收集好組員的問題後經電郵發問,他亦會樂意回覆。Tutor亦在題目的框架下給予同學一定自由度做自己有興趣的題目,敷衍了事的話他看得出來。課堂態度的話,只要準時到達,以及不要在上課/匯報時一直用手機就沒有太大問題。總而言之,是個很有心教學的Tutor,從他的指導的確能擴闊自己的思維。如果純粹想輕輕鬆鬆,不用想太多直接靠明確指引通過的同學,就未必適合選董老師了。

最大的工作量來自小組的學期論文。其實論文寫作給的時間比較長,就算從最後一課導修開始做也有接近一個月。只要一開始多與Tutor溝通,題目方向定得清晰的話,每星期都做一點,每人兩千字論文不算太麻煩。只是論文需要做論文集,組長要收齊其他組員的論文呈交,一旦遇到Deadline Fighter甚至Freerider就真的比較惱人了。

雖然AIMS寫明Tutor會用普通話教,但是Tutor能聽懂粵語。香港的同學基本上只要你能聽Tutor用普通話的回答,董老師也是值得選的。

我的語文能力以及中國歷史和文化知識基礎都很薄弱,幸好Tutor能看到我的努力,有這個成績真的很意外。

lectures上齊而又認真做每份功課嘅話,其實唔係傳聞講咁會爛grade 囉~
雖然我未知grade之前都驚會爛,總之千祈唔好走任何lectures or tutorial
lectures 果d 可以一路聽一路做其他野,坐到最後做張堂課紙便ok
tutorial 其實除左自己present 果堂外, 堂堂都係聽人present
真正最大workload都不過係最後份學術論文

今年year 1,好好彩lecture同tutorial都reg到Cantonese。首先講lecture,每堂兩個鐘,次次唔同lecturer,不過個個都好高質,幾識講笑搞氣氛,屈大成同王景松講書特別搞笑,李果、黃佩賢同林學忠都唔錯。每堂講完ppt會有堂課,一般系一題MC或者答問題(50-100字),內容都系同果堂個ppt有關,要聽書先識答(不過好多人都系google搵答案或者問隔離同學),計participation同當take attendance。

Tutorial reg咗曾漢棠,佢幾快覆email,可以問佢問題或者約佢consult(雖然d意見無太大幫助)。佢會喺同學present果陣訓覺,其實好驚佢會聽漏points,不過最後個grade出到黎都唔錯就算啦。工作量好輕鬆,全年得一個group project(一個ppt presentation同一個文字報告,但內容完全一樣。唔使驚遇到freerider,因為計分主要計番自己做果部分),同埋一個400-500字網上討論(individual,評論第二組個presentation同對個題目既睇法)。Tutorial唔會教書,淨系得instructions for assignments同各組present。

總括黎講呢個course極輕鬆,完全無壓力,同中國語文一d關係都無,可以唔使擔心!聽吓書學吓中國文化(唔系洗腦)其實幾得意,仲可以當聽talk show。

懶人包:曾海棠是個大伏

今個學期得幾個廣東話導修老師,佢教成十班,應該伏左唔少人。導修課內容沉悶而冗長,冇俾到清晰嘅指引,又任由學生照時present。基本上佢唔會俾任何資源俾你,又照住份course outline照讀,consultation亦毫無作用。

Grading比起其他班低得多,聽講有其他班嘅學生C-,傳說中嘅新老師=Killer。
